Green No Longer A Brown

BustFormer Boston College star tailback, William Green was given his walking papers today.

The Browns have reached an injury settlement with William Green, cutting ties with the 2002 first-round draft pick.

By reaching an injury settlement with the Browns, Green is now free to sign with any other NFL team. After 10 weeks, he would eligible to return to the Browns.

Green has been one of a number of 1st round draft pick busts, since the team returned in 1999. They include Tim Couch (QB), Courtney Brown, (DE), Gerard Warren (DT), Jeff Faine (C) and now Green. In fact, the Browns only have three of their last seven 1st Round Picks on their current Roster.

Who knows if anyone will take a chance on William Green, he has 2,109 career rushing yards on 568 carries, averaging 3.7 yards per carry. Not are his stats a wreck, our inside sources have told us that they see his car parked in his driveway after a long night out on the town, and it's constantly parked crooked or in the front yard.
