Clarett Indicted
Former Ohio State Tailback and now career criminal has been indicted on five new counts according to the Columbus Dispatch today.
The charges include mandatory prison time for gun specifications if Clarett, 22, is convicted. The most serious charge carries up to five years in prison.
A Franklin County grand jury indicted Clarett today for two counts of failure to comply with the orders of a police officer and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon, improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and having a weapon under disability. The latter charge refers to a previous indictment for aggravated robbery in which he was forbidden from having a gun.
This all stems from his erratic behavior in August when he fled from police, was carrying four semi-automatic weapons, a half bottle of vodka, and was a few blocks from the person who was going to testify at his hearing on robbery charges. Nice work MO!
Clarett's hearing will begin on Sept. 18th in Columbus.
