NO NO!

Last night against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Florida Marlins Pitcher Anibal Sanchez ended a drought longer than one of our college roommates.

Sanchez threw the first no hitter in MLB since Randy Johnson's perfect game on May 18, 2004. Sanchez's performance ended a stretch of 6,364 major league games between no-hitters. The longest gap previously was 4,015 games from Sept. 30, 1984, to Sept. 19, 1986, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

Sanchez struck out six in the 2-0 victory as the Marlins attempt to gain yet another wild card birth in the NL. The Marlins are deadly when they make the playoffs and if they do make it, this could embarrass the MLB because of their dismal 15 million dollar payroll, by far the lowest in the league.
