Does anyone care about the Poinsettia Bowl? Besides one sponsored by the San Diego County Credit Union? Do we have too many bowl games now, because it looks as if we have run out of sponsors to us. The Army Black Knights football team does and they only have to come up with 6 wins, that's right 6 to guarantee bowl eligibility!

"This was the best bowl for us, and we believe we have a great chance of being bowl-eligible," Army director of athletics Kevin Anderson said. "We have to come up with the wins, but we are guaranteed. It would just be fantastic. They all love coach Ross out there." (AP)

No kidding!!! You wouldn't smell a bowl game with 6 wins if you weren't guaranteed this one!

Don't get us wrong here, former Chargers Head Coach Bobby Ross has the ability turn the Army's program around, but what is up with college football guaranteeing ARMY a bowl with only 6 wins? Army was 0-11 two season ago before Bobby Ross took over. He has since doubled the programs wins in each of the past two seasons, winning two in his first season, four in his second.

We all know college football won't have a playoff because of the large payouts bowl games give their participating schools. However, how much entertainment value is in a bowl on December 19th and one featuring Army vs an 8th seeded Mountain West Team????!!!!! What's next Kent State (1-10) vs. Idaho (2-9)?
