Collins signs with Titans

It appears that The Tennessee Titans have signed unemployed quarterback Kerry Collins today. This undoubtedly puts the appearance that they aren't happy with their two potential starters Billy Volek and this years 1st Round Draft Pick Vince Young. While Collins hasn't put up horrible numbers over his career, he is only 66-79 as a starter (ESPN.com) and has thrown for over 3,000 yards in each of his last six seasons (ESPN.com). We would hardly call this a steal, after all Collins was contemplating retirement before signing this deal and at 33, he's no secret weapon, considering he's past his prime and has been on the Raiders for the past few years who have been dismal and that can't do much for his confidence.

Well, well, well, it appears that they should have held on to "Air" McNair for at least another year to mentor Vince Young now doesn't it? Look for Kerry and the Titans to have similar looks on their faces as the above picture of Collins had with the Giants. (photo/Newsday - David L. Pokress)
