Playing Dirty!
This morning the Department of Homeland Security released a statement that recent bomb threats, aimed at NFL stadiums, are not credible.
Last Thursday, Internet watchdogs read a post describing plans to detonate dirty bombs, this Sunday, at seven major NFL stadiums. Homeland security and the NFL elaborated the unlikelihood of this event occurring and that in place security measures are sufficient to deter such a threat.
News like this is, at best, disheartening... and ridiculous. What kind of people make such threats? There are more serious matters in the world other than singling out one of the few leisure events enjoyed by the masses. Frankly, this is sickening... in fact, it's so bad that we would rather hear T.O. talk about... well, being T.O.
Update:
The FBI made the announcement after agents questioned a 20-year-old Milwaukee man in an effort to determine who made the threats, which were posted on a Web site last week.
"The investigation has determined that this is a hoax. The public should be reassured of their security as they continue to attend sporting events this weekend," said the agencies' joint statement.
