NFL's Leading Rusher Tiki Barber, Could Call It Quits

Giant's running back and the current NFL leading rusher this season said he will likely call it quits after this season to pursue off the field opportunities.

“For the longest time, I thought I had to win a Super Bowl to define my career,” Barber said. “I would like to, but I don’t have to, because I can walk away knowing I did the best I could.”

He says he has spent most of his career pondering his post-playing days, which he hopes will begin with a career in television. Among other side jobs — as a radio talk-show host, a children’s book author and general man about town — he spends Tuesday mornings as a co-host of “Fox & Friends,” a general news program on Fox News.

Barber, 31, is the leading rusher in Giants history and has been named to the Pro Bowl the past two seasons.

WEAK! Does Tiki think that he pefected the game? That he is Hall of Fame material. Yes, he is probably one of the best, all-around players in the league. It remains that he has only been to two Pro-Bowls in ten years and that he still doesn't have a ring.

I respect that he works very hard to be let down every post-season. However, when faced with the alternative of continuing your career as an author of children's books and pre-game commentary... "What are you thiknking, Tiki?" What kind of challenge is that. Just say it! That you're just tired of playing ball. Why suggest it? All you will achieve is the weakening of your team, further reducing the chances of post-season success!

and the Giants already have enough Drama from Shockey!
