Leinart Does All He Can, But Bears Defense and Special Teams Too Much

Matt Leinart did all he could do last night in the Cardinals 24-23 loss to the Bears on Monday Night Football.

Leinart played well in his second start, completing 24 of 42 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns.

The Cardinals who blew a 20 point lead when Bears punt returner Devin Hester returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown.

Leinart drove the Cardinals down the field and with just under a minute to go. Cardinal kicker Neil Rackers hooked a 40 yard game winning field goal attempt and the Cursed Cards lost game in which they should have won.

This loss has got to make you wonder if Dennis Green is the guy in Arizona. The Cardinals did a terrible job with clock management in the second half and Edgerrin James ran 36 times for only 55 yards.

"You want to crown them, go ahead and crown their asses," Dennis Green said, his voice rising. "But they are exactly who we thought they are, and we let them off the hook."

Maybe we didn't take enough chances," Green said of his offense. "It just kind of dissolved."
