Even "Smart" Athletes Get In Trouble

Five Yale athletes were arrested Sunday morning after an altercation outside Gourmet Heaven on Broadway.

"There was an incident early Sunday morning on Broadway in front of Gourmet Heaven. "It involved only Yale students and some of them were athletes," Yale director of athletics Tom Beckett said in a prepared statement. "The investigation is in the hands of Yale University and the New Haven Police Department as they gather the facts associated with this incident. At this time we are not able to make further comments."

No disciplinary action is expected to be taken until the athletes receive due process and the investigations are complete.
