Clemens and Petitte Among Players Listed In Jason Grimley Case

Roger Clemens and Andy Petitte are among the former players who were accused of using performance-enhancing drugs by former major league reliever Jason Grimsley. Baltimore Orioles shortstop Miguel Tejada, whom the Astros tried to acquire at the July 31 trading deadline, was another of the players reportedly named in an affidavit Grimsley filed with federal agents.

Houston-based agent Randy Hendricks, who represents Clemens and Pettitte, 34, told the Associated Press: "I'm told (Grimsley) has denied saying all of this. It's an agent's recollection about a conversation he had about conjecture."

I've grown weary of having to defend (Clemens) from innuendo and conjecture about every six months for the last several years when he's complied with all of the rules and regulations," Hendricks told the AP. "Andy is just surprised and stunned and has no knowledge of any such activity."
