Cardinals On The Verge Of Biggest Choke In MLB History

The Cardinals have lost 8 of their last 9 games and 9 of their last 11. On September 19th, they held an 8 1/2 games ahead of the Houston Astros in the NL Central Division. Going into tonight, they are a 1/2 game ahead of Houston and are on the verge of missing the playoffs if this continues through the weekend.

"I think if anybody had said this would've happened the last nine or 10 days, we wouldn't have believed it. But that's life," left fielder Preston Wilson said. "No one is immune from it. You deal with it."

This weekend will be make or break for the Cardinals season and could put them in the MLB record books as well.
