The Answer To Kansas State's Football Program Woes

The head of Kansas State's Mascot Willie The Wildcat has been found after it was stolen two years ago.

The Manhattan Mercury reported that Riley County Police Department officials confirmed that the mascot head has been recovered, though the police are not revealing any details about how the head was recovered.

The police did say they received a tip from someone who expressed a desire to see the mascot head returned to its rightful owners. The mascot head had been stolen in 2004.

Maybe this is why the football program has gone down the crapper. Kansas State's record from the 2004 season to this week is a combined 12-16.

From 1996-2003 Kansas State had six 11 win seasons. Maybe this can restore some pride, or at least spirit, back into their program.
