SportsRx Meltdown of the Week!

We've been slacking lately with our SportsRx Meltdown of the Week Awards. Well, we just had to out of our way to give it to none other than the Bowling Green Falcons football Ttam.

They managed to be the victim of a Temple football team that hadn't won a single game in it's last 20 outings, the last victory came in 2004. Not only did they lose to Temple they got completely dominated 28-14 in front of 17,431 fans at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Aw, man, Coach was crying. Other people were crying. It was something else," senior linebacker Ryan Gore said. "Everybody was ecstatic. That's the way a locker room is supposed to be. I'm tired of coming in here with heads hanging down. It was overdue."

When Temple and Bowling Green exchanged home games in 2004 and 2005, the Falcons hung 70 points on the Owls each time.

"You kind of hate them," Gore said. "It was 42-7 at halftime last season, and they kept throwing the ball and trying to put it in our faces. Now we're up on them."

A loss to Temple, by far the worst program in the country, has got to hurt Bowling Green and that's why they've earned the SportsRx Meltdown of the Week.
