Antoine Walker Considers Himself "A Winner"

Antoine Walker, long ridiculed by critics, says he's ''without question'' being treated with more respect than ever before. ''People respect winners and look at your career a little bit differently [now],'' he said. 'Anytime you can put it in critics' faces is good. Hopefully, people will give me a little more credit than before.''

Walker, who worked on his defense against small forwards this summer by guarding Bobby Simmons, Corey Maggette and Quentin Richardson in pickup games, got this message from Michael Jordan: ``You got one [championship]. I got six. Try to get some more. Two makes it special.''

Someone should tell Mr. Walker that he had two players on his team, Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, that may have done more than helped him win this title, they won it for him.
