Jags 9 Steelers 0 Domination

In the lowest scoring game in Monday Night Football History last night, the Jacksonville Jaguars owned the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers 9-0. Josh Scobee added three field goals as the Jags defense shutout the Steelers for the first time since 2003.

Some other notes of interest, the Steelers were held to only 26 yards rushing and only had possession of the football 22:35. Also, the Steelers never made it past the Jaguar 46 yard line for the entire game. Big Ben looked extremely rusty coming off having appendix removed only 15 days prior to last nights game.

Standing on the sideline, watching our defense go at them, it was like watching a heavyweight fight," said Fred Taylor. "I mean, how could you not get excited, really? Our guys just whipped them. Whipped them bad. Those guys on defense, they were playing for real, man."

The Jaguars will try and do the same to Peyton Manning and the Colts next week. They are coming off a 12 win season in 2005, before losing to the Patriots in the playoffs last season. Are the Jacksonville Jaguars for real in '06?
