Cuban sees financial opportunities for first active gay NBA player
Dallas Mavericks' owner Mark Cuban feels that the first NBA player to openly admit that they are gay could see some financial fortunes in their future if they just lay it on the line.
"From a marketing perspective, if you're a player who happens to be gay and you want to be incredibly rich, then you should come out, because it would be the best thing that ever happened to you from a marketing and an endorsement perspective," the Mavericks' owner said. "You would be an absolute hero to more Americans than you can ever possibly be as an athlete, and that'll put money in your pocket.
Attention NBA players that are currently riding the pine and making the league minimum. Were thinking of some guys that are currently, let's say 11th or 12th men on the depth chart. After all, $413K is tough to live on these days.
